Hang On, Mama: A Reminder for the Heavy Days

Finding Comfort in Faith: Overcoming Difficult Days as a Mama.

Hi friends, good morning.

Today, I wanted to share a little reminder for all the mamas who might be carrying a heavy load.

Yesterday, I was talking with a friend, and she had to go. Later, she sent me a message apologizing and explaining that she was going through a lot. She is a mama of three, with a home, a husband, and so many things needing her attention. Sometimes, all of that comes with emotions that are difficult to put into words.

And I understood. Because the load can be heavy, right?

We all have those days when we think, Okay, I’ve got this. We feel confident, we find our rhythm, and we move through the day feeling pretty good about how we are handling everything.

Then there are the other days.

The days when everything feels difficult. The house is a mess, everyone needs something, and we barely have a moment to hear our own thoughts. We feel overwhelmed, touched out, emotional, and tired in a way that one good night of sleep might not even fix.

Mama, if that is where you are today, I want you to know that you do not need to apologize for having a hard time.

You are allowed to have moments when you need to step away, catch your breath, or say, “I need a little help.”

A difficult day does not make you a bad mother.

Living by faith does not mean that we never struggle. Giving grace to others, and especially to ourselves, can be difficult when we feel stretched so thin. We can love our families with our whole hearts and still feel overwhelmed by everything we carry.

But even here, we have a loving, powerful Father beside us. We can reach for Him when we do not know what else to do.

“My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.”
– 2 Corinthians 12:9, KJV

I find so much comfort in that reminder. We do not have to arrive before God with everything figured out. We can come tired. We can come crying. We can come with a prayer that is nothing more than, “Lord, please help me right now.”

He hears that prayer, too.

And mama, you do not have to be strong all the time. You do not have to be patient every single second, have a spotless house, or finish everything on your list to be worthy of love and care.

You are enough, even while you are learning and growing. Your worth does not disappear because you lost your patience or needed a break. God made you with care, and there is so much love you bring to your family that you may overlook on the days when all you can see is what went wrong.

Sometimes, you need rest. Sometimes, you need someone to hold the baby while you eat a warm meal. Sometimes, you need a quiet moment, a good cry, or a friend who will listen without expecting you to explain everything perfectly.

You are allowed to need those things.

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
– Matthew 11:28, KJV

So today, take a breath with me. Slowly, in and out. Let your shoulders relax. You do not have to solve everything in this moment.

The Lord is our shepherd. Even when we feel lost, He has not lost sight of us.

“The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.”
– Psalm 23:1, KJV

We may not know how every problem will work out, or when a difficult season will become easier. But we can trust Him to guide us through the next moment, the next conversation, and the next thing that needs our attention.

Hang on, mama. There is room for you to rest, ask for help, and begin again.

You are loved. Your efforts matter. And you are not walking through this alone.

Let’s pray together.

Dear Lord,

Thank You for being our shepherd and guiding us when we feel lost. Thank You for holding us close when we feel shaken.

On the days when the house is a mess, our patience is thin, and everything feels like too much, help us pause and turn to You. Give us peace for this moment and strength for the next step.

Lord, sometimes all we can say is, “Please help me. Remind me that I will get through this.” Meet us there. Help us receive Your grace, accept support, and rest without guilt.

Bless every mama reading this today. Bring comfort to her heart, gentleness to her words, and people who will care for her as she cares for her family. Remind her that she is deeply loved.

We trust You, Lord. Thank You for staying beside us through every season. Bless our homes, our families, and our day.

In Jesus’ name, amen.

Have a blessed week 💕

With love & grace,

Still Here, Just in a Busy Season

Hi, friends!

I know it has been a little while since I last showed up here. Life has been so, so busy lately. My husband has been traveling for work, which means I have been with the girls 24/7.. and our days have felt very full, very rushed, and sometimes a little chaotic.

By the end of the day, I am usually completely exhausted and ready to fall into bed. But there is still a kitchen to clean, food to prepare, and meal prep to finish for the following day. I prefer doing some of those things after the girls are asleep, especially when I need a little more focus… or simply need both of my hands available!

I do try to prepare some things during the day while the baby is napping. My sweet “big little girl” loves helping me in the kitchen. It is one of the cutest things! Every time we are chopping onions, she starts eating them. Yes, raw onions! I have honestly never seen a child enjoy onions the way she does. She loves them, so I just let her eat them. Why not, right?

These little moments make our busy days so much sweeter.

Still, after doing so much every day, I have found myself feeling completely blank. My creativity seemed to take a deep dive, and I became disappointed and frustrated with myself for not coming here to share my thoughts.

But the truth is, I didn’t have many thoughts to share. Every time I considered writing something for the blog, my mind came up empty.

So today, instead of waiting for the perfect idea or a meaningful lesson, I simply wanted to stop by and say hello.

I’m alive. I’m well. I’m just very, very busy!

Of course, fall allergies have also decided to make an early appearance. The season is not even fully here yet, but my eyes are already terribly itchy, and my nose is constantly running. It is so annoying! Every allergy season becomes its own little journey as I try to figure out which medication will help, especially because I am nursing and need to be careful about what I take.

There is always something, isn’t there?

But we will survive, friends.

I also want to remind myself that this blog was never meant to become another obligation. This is supposed to be my carefree little corner…a place where I can write whenever I feel inspired, share what is on my heart, and simply enjoy writing.

No pressure. No deadlines. No expectations.

I want to keep it that way because writing is something I love, and I never want it to feel like another responsibility on my already-full list.

At the same time, I know some of you come here looking forward to reading something new. That means more to me than you know. I am sorry I have been away for so long, but I want you to know that I am still here, and I am still writing.

I am slowly finding my way back to myself while adjusting to this new, crazy schedule. It may take a little time, but we will make it work. I will be here whenever I can, sharing my thoughts, my experiences, and whatever the Lord places on my heart.

Thank you for continuing to be here with me. I love and appreciate you all so much.

May the Lord bless you, protect you, and watch over you and your families.

Until next time, friends.

With love and many blessings,

Tay

How Do We Want Our Kids to Remember Us?

Hi, friends. 🤍

There is something my husband and I talk about sometimes that always gets me thinking:

How do our kids see us?

Not how we think they see us. Not how we hope we look from the outside.

But when those little eyes are looking at us every day… what do they see?

And maybe an even bigger question:

How will they remember us one day?

Will they remember us as the parents who played with them? Who were silly with them? Who sat on the floor and played pretend? Who listened to their endless stories and answered their one million questions?

Or will they remember us as always being busy?

Always working.

Always cleaning.

Always doing something.

Always looking at our phones.

Always saying, “Just a minute,” “Not right now,” or “Mommy is busy.”

That thought gets to me.

Because finding balance is hard. So, so hard.

There are responsibilities that don’t disappear just because we have children. There is work to do, food to make, laundry to wash, bills to pay, houses to clean, appointments to remember, messages to answer… life keeps moving.

But right in the middle of all of that, there is this little person asking:

“Mommy, why is blue blue?”

“Why is purple purple?”

“Why can’t I touch that?”

“Can I really not touch it?”

Let me touch it really quickly just to make sure. 😂

And sometimes it isn’t even about the question.

They just want us.

They want our attention. They want us to look at what they’re looking at. They want to tell us what they’re thinking. They want to show us something they discovered for the very first time – even if we’ve seen it a thousand times.

Because to them, the world is still so new.

And there is something incredibly beautiful about being the person they want to share it with.

Time, Please Slow Down

I get emotional thinking about how quickly these years are passing.

It feels like I just had my little baby girl, and somehow she’s already getting close to turning three.

Three?!

Come on, time. Slow down a little bit.

I want to stay here just a little longer.

I want to remember the tiny voice. The little hands. The silly questions. The toys everywhere. The pretend games. The way they call for Mommy. The way something so simple can make them unbelievably excited.

Because this version of them won’t be here forever.

And this version of me won’t be here forever either.

We are growing alongside them.

The Childhood I Remember

Sometimes I think about my own childhood.

Cell phones weren’t really part of our lives. There was no Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, endless scrolling, Reels, or notifications constantly asking for our attention.

I remember going places with my parents. I remember being home and playing in the backyard. I remember playing with plants and random things around the house.

My parents could give me some papers and suddenly I had an entire office. 😂

I played office. I played doctor’s office. I played pretend. I had this huge imagination.

I played by myself plenty, but I also remember playing with my mom and dad.

And when I look back, I have so many good memories of my childhood.

That’s what I want for my girls.

I don’t need their childhood to be perfect. I don’t think any childhood can be.

But I want it to feel full.

Full of love.

Full of laughter.

Full of imagination.

Full of family.

Full of moments when Mommy and Daddy stopped whatever they were doing and entered their little world for a while.

I Want Them to Remember a Mama Who Was There

One day, when my girls are grown, I hope they remember me as a mama who did everything she could for them.

A mama who fought for them.

A mama who worked for them.

A mama who served them.

A mama who made their food and cared for their home.

A mama who kissed their little boo-boos.

A mama who listened to their stories – even the really, really, really long ones. 😂

A mama who played pretend.

A mama who laughed with them.

A mama who prayed with them.

A mama who taught them about Jesus.

A mama who loved them fiercely and, most importantly, made sure they knew it.

I want to be a really, really good mama.

Not a perfect one.

A present one.

And I know I won’t get every day right. There will be days when I’m tired. Days when work needs more of me. Days when I’m overwhelmed. Days when I probably spend too much time looking at a screen or worrying about something that feels urgent.

But maybe being intentional doesn’t mean doing everything perfectly.

Maybe it means remembering, over and over again, what matters most.

Putting the phone down.

Sitting on the floor.

Listening to the question.

Playing the game.

Giving the hug.

Saying “I love you” one more time.

Praying together.

Because someday, the toys won’t be on the floor anymore.

They won’t ask us to play pretend.

They won’t need our help getting dressed.

They won’t ask why? fifty-seven times before breakfast.

And I have a feeling we might miss even the things that exhaust us today.

Our Greatest Gifts

Our children are among the greatest gifts God has entrusted to us.

And what a privilege it is to raise them.

To love them.

To guide them.

To teach them to follow Jesus.

To pray over them and with them.

To watch their personalities grow and their little minds discover the world.

So maybe today, we can ask ourselves:

When our children look back at these years, what do we hope they remember?

I hope mine remember the love.

I hope they remember the laughter.

I hope they remember Mommy and Daddy playing with them.

I hope they remember feeling safe.

I hope they remember prayers before bed and conversations about Jesus.

I hope they remember that even when life was busy, they were never too small to matter and never too unimportant for us to stop and see them.

Most of all, I hope they remember knowing – without ever having to question it…

Mommy and Daddy loved us so, so much.

So let’s enjoy them, friends.

Let’s soak in these ordinary days that one day won’t feel ordinary at all.

Let’s put down the phone sometimes.

Let’s play pretend.

Let’s answer the millionth question.

Let’s tell them we love them again and again.

And let’s ask God to help us raise these little blessings in a way that, many years from now, when they close their eyes and think about home, they remember a childhood filled with love, faith, laughter, and the beautiful feeling of knowing:

I was loved. I was seen. I belonged. 🤍

With love & grace,

Sometimes, They Just Want Us to See Them 🤍

Hi, friends!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. 🤍

Today, I just wanted to write a simple little post about something that crossed my mind while I was watching my husband play with our girls.

I was watching them together – playing, laughing, being silly… and I found myself thinking about how special it is when we actually stop what we’re doing and just be with our children.

Not doing something for them.
Not cleaning around them.
Not getting dinner ready while they play nearby.

But actually getting down on the floor and playing with them.

And then I started thinking…

How will our children remember us when they grow up?

Will they remember Mom and Dad as the ones who played pretend with them? Who played hide-and-seek and catch? Who sat on the floor and played with stuffed animals, baby dolls, and all the little toys scattered everywhere?

Will they remember us being silly with them, laughing with them, and entering their tiny little worlds?

Or will they remember us always being busy?

Because the truth is, there is always something else to do.

There is always laundry.

There are always dishes.

There is always work.

There is always something to clean, something to organize, an email to answer, a message to respond to, or another thing waiting on our to-do list.

But sometimes, our children don’t need anything from us except our attention.

They just want us to see them.

My daughter will sometimes come up to me and say, “Hey, Mom!” and then start telling me something in her sweet little toddler gibberish. 😂 And sometimes there isn’t even really anything she needs to tell me.

She just wants me to look.

She wants me to see that she’s feeding her baby doll.

She wants me to see what she’s doing with one of her little stuffed animals.

She wants me to watch her playing with her little sister or with our dog.

Sometimes that’s it.

“Mommy, look at me.”

And when I really think about that, it makes my heart so emotional.

Because one day, she won’t call me over every few minutes to show me the tiniest little thing.

One day, I won’t have baby dolls and stuffed animals all over my house.

One day, there won’t be tiny feet running through the rooms or little voices calling, “Mom!”

And I know there will be beautiful things about those seasons too. Watching our children grow is a blessing of its own.

But this season?

This one is so precious.

Our children are one of the greatest gifts God could ever entrust to us.

“Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him.” – Psalm 127:3

And sometimes I think we get so caught up trying to take care of everything that comes with raising a family that we forget to stop and simply enjoy the family God gave us.

So this is my little reminder for myself today, and maybe for another mama who needs it too:

Soak it in.

Put the phone down for a little while.

Sit on the floor.

Play with the baby doll.

Pretend the stuffed puppy is talking.

Play hide-and-seek for the hundredth time.

Listen to the story that doesn’t make any sense.

Look when they say, “Mommy, look!”

Laugh with them.

Hug them.

Be silly.

Let them see your eyes light up when they walk into the room.

The laundry can wait sometimes.

The dishes can wait sometimes.

The emails can definitely wait sometimes.

Because everything else will still be there later.

But the time we have with our children while they’re little?

That part doesn’t wait.

It goes by so incredibly fast.

Take care of your babies. Take care of yourself. And whenever you can, stop for a moment and enjoy the beautiful little life happening right in front of you.

These ordinary little moments might just become some of their favorite childhood memories someday.

And maybe some of ours, too. 🤍

Have a beautiful and blessed week, friends.

With love & grace,

Tay 🤍

Be Still… God Is Already There

Good morning, friends.

It’s 6:49 a.m., and the house is still quiet.

I woke up early this morning, got a little work done, and then opened my Bible to spend some time with the Lord. Before long, my little one woke up. I picked her up, nursed her, and continued reading my Bible with her resting peacefully in my arms.

There was something so special about that moment.

As I held her close, I couldn’t help but think about how our children truly are one of God’s greatest gifts. There I was, reading His Word while holding one of the precious lives He entrusted to me. It was such a simple moment, yet one I know I’ll remember for a long time.

Motherhood has taught me to treasure these little moments.

It has also taught me humility.

Sometimes I get overwhelmed. Sometimes I become impatient. Sometimes stress wins for a moment, and afterward I wish I had responded differently.

I always feel bad when that happens because my children deserve the very best version of me.

But the truth is… none of us can be our best version every single day.

Whether you’re a mom, a dad, or simply someone trying to navigate life, there will be days when you’re tired, when your emotions are messy, and when your patience feels thin.

That doesn’t make you a failure.

It makes you human.

Yesterday I had my therapy session, and for the first time in a while, I felt like I poured everything out. All the messy thoughts. All the uncertainty. All the questions I’ve been carrying.

Lately, my professional life has felt like it’s been shaken upside down.

You know how a towel spreads water across every corner once it touches a puddle?

That’s what unresolved problems can feel like.

One difficult area of life has a way of spilling into every other area. Before you realize it, your thoughts become heavier, your emotions become more fragile, and even simple tasks begin to feel overwhelming.

That’s where I’ve been lately.

But today…

Today feels different.

Not because every problem has disappeared.

Not because I suddenly have all the answers.

But because the Lord reminded me this morning exactly where my foundation is.

He is my fortress.

He is my strength.

He is my peace.

And when my life feels like it’s in pieces, He remains completely unchanged.

Sometimes I think God lovingly allows our lives to be shaken because we’ve become a little too comfortable. We settle into routines, into plans we’ve created for ourselves, and then something unexpected happens.

Everything shifts.

At first, it feels frightening.

But maybe… just maybe… the shaking isn’t meant to destroy us.

Maybe it’s meant to loosen our grip on the things we’ve been holding too tightly so we can hold on to Him instead.

I truly believe that’s what He’s been teaching me.

His timing is perfect.

Always.

Even when I don’t understand it.

Even when I wish things looked different.

Even when the future feels uncertain.

Looking back, I can see His faithfulness through every season of my life, and I have no reason to believe He’ll stop being faithful now.

Today’s Bible reading was exactly what my heart needed.

Psalm 46:10
“Be still, and know that I am God.”

Psalm 27

Matthew 11:28–30
“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

Proverbs 3:5–6
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths.”

Those verses reminded me that my job isn’t to carry every burden.

My job is simply to do my part faithfully.

To wake up.

To love my family.

To work with integrity.

To keep moving forward.

And then leave the heavy things in God’s hands.

That’s the kind of life I hope my children remember.

I hope they remember a mom who trusted Jesus.

Not because life was always easy.

But because He was always faithful.

I hope they see that when life became too heavy, I didn’t pretend I was strong enough to carry it all alone.

I gave it to the One who could.

Friends, if you’re walking through your own “shake-shake” season right now, I want to encourage you today.

Keep going.

Keep praying.

Keep trusting.

Do what you can today, and leave tomorrow in God’s hands.

He has never stopped being faithful, and He won’t start now.

Thank you for sitting with me this morning.

Thank you for reading these little pieces of my heart.

This blog has become a place where I simply share what the Lord is teaching me, what motherhood is teaching me, and what life is teaching me along the way.

I’m so grateful you’re here.

I hope you’ll come back again soon.

With love,

Tayza

When It Rains, It Pours

Hi friends,

I hope you’re all doing well.

Life has been incredibly busy lately. To be honest, it feels like one thing after another. You know that saying, “When it rains, it pours?” That’s exactly how this season has felt.

One problem shows up, and before I even have time to process it, another one appears. Things that were never problems suddenly become problems. Unexpected situations come out of nowhere. Plans change. New challenges arise. And sometimes it feels like I’m trying so hard just to keep my head above water.

It’s exhausting.

There are moments when I wonder how much more one heart can carry before it simply gives up. If I relied only on my own strength, I think I would completely fall apart. The stress would consume me. The fear would take over. My mind would race through every possible outcome until I couldn’t think clearly anymore.

But that’s exactly why I keep coming back to the feet of Jesus.

Every single day, I remind myself that the Lord already knows every detail of my story. Nothing surprises Him. Nothing catches Him off guard. The problems that seem impossible to me are not impossible for Him.

I don’t know what tomorrow looks like.

I don’t know how every situation will work itself out.

But I do know Who walks with me through it all.

Sometimes I believe God allows us to walk through difficult seasons because He is preparing us for something better than we can see right now. Not because He enjoys seeing us struggle, but because He is shaping us, teaching us to trust Him more deeply, and leading us somewhere we could never reach on our own.

So I’m choosing not to stay stuck.

I’m choosing to keep moving forward, even if the steps are small.

I’m choosing to keep working, praying, trusting, and believing that God is opening doors I cannot yet see.

Some days, faith doesn’t look like having all the answers. Sometimes faith simply looks like getting out of bed, doing the next right thing, and believing that God is still writing the story.

If you’re in a season where it feels like everything is happening at once, I want to encourage you today: don’t let go of the Lord.

Hold on to Him.

Cry if you need to.

Pray even when you don’t have the words.

Rest in His promises.

He has never abandoned His children, and He won’t start now.

One day we’ll look back on these difficult chapters and see God’s fingerprints all over them. We may not understand everything today, but one day we will see how He was protecting us, guiding us, and preparing something greater than we could imagine.

Until then, I’ll keep taking one step at a time.

And I’ll keep trusting the One who already knows the ending.

«”God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear…” – Psalm 46:1-2»

With love & grace,

Tay ♡

When You Don’t Know What’s Next, Kneel First

Hi friends,

Good morning. 🤍

Today I’m writing straight from the bottom of my heart. I just wanted to share something that happened this morning and hopefully encourage someone who might need these words as much as I do.

As many of you know, I’m walking through a very difficult season right now. There are so many things that I don’t have answers for. If I’m being completely honest, I have no idea what my next step is. I don’t know how everything will work out.

But I do know this: God is still on His throne.

This morning, I got down on my knees and prayed. I asked the Lord to give me strength, wisdom, and peace. I prayed that He would not allow this difficult season to weaken my faith. I asked Him not to give the enemy any room in my mind. We all know that our weakest moments are often when the enemy tries hardest to fill our hearts with fear, doubt, anxiety, and discouragement.

But the Lord is my shield.

He is my Rock.

He is my refuge.

And I refuse to let fear have the final word.

As I prayed, something beautiful happened. Instead of focusing on everything I was losing or everything I couldn’t control, God gently reminded me of everything I already have.

I have a loving husband who supports me through every season.

I have my two beautiful little girls, who give my life so much purpose and joy.

I have my sweet dog.

I have my parents.

I have my husband’s parents.

I have incredible friends that God has so lovingly placed in my life.

And as I started thanking Him for each one of those blessings, I couldn’t stop the tears.

Not tears of sadness this time, but tears of gratitude.

God has surrounded me with people who love me. They are my “why.” They are the reason I get out of bed every morning. They are why I cook, why I clean, why I work, why I keep moving forward even on the days when I don’t feel like I can.

And if I had to do it all over again, I would.

Every single time.

So today, if you’re walking through a difficult season too, I want to encourage you.

Don’t let the enemy weaken your faith.

Lay every burden at the feet of Jesus.

Keep praying.

Keep trusting.

Keep moving forward, even if it’s only one small step at a time.

Don’t stop.

Sometimes life becomes so overwhelming that we forget God already knows the ending of our story. Nothing surprises Him. Nothing catches Him off guard. He knows exactly where you are, exactly what you’re feeling, and exactly what He’s doing – even when you can’t see it.

His plans are always better than ours.

His timing is always perfect.

And His love for us never changes.

Today I’m not only writing these words for you.

I’m writing them for myself too.

Sometimes we all need to remind our own hearts of what we already know to be true.

So today, choose trust over fear.

Choose gratitude over despair.

Choose faith over doubt.

God has never failed you before, and He won’t start now.

Thank you for taking a few minutes to read my thoughts today. It means more than you know. Every time you stop by, read a post, leave a kind word, or simply spend a few moments here with me, I’m reminded that writing has a purpose beyond myself.

If God can use these simple words to bring even a little hope, encouragement, or His love into someone’s day, then every post is worth writing.

Thank you for being here.

I hope you have a beautiful day, and may God bless you abundantly.

With love & grace,

Tay

Until next time, may you find joy in the little blessings, strength in every season, and peace in the One who holds it all. 🤍

When Everything Feels Like It’s Falling Apart

Hi, friends.

Today I just wanted to sit down and write from my heart.

If you’ve been reading here for a while, you know that I don’t usually share every detail of what’s happening in my life. I like to process things quietly before talking about them. But lately, I’ve been learning something that I think is worth sharing, because maybe someone else needs this reminder today as much as I do.

Sometimes life falls apart.

Not all at once, but little by little.

One phone call. One unexpected bill. One closed door. One disappointment. One unanswered prayer. One change of plans after another.

Before you know it, you’re sitting there wondering, “God… what are You doing?”

I’ve asked that question more than once lately.

There have been moments when I’ve looked around and thought, “None of this is going the way I imagined.”

The plans I carefully made changed.

The things I thought were secure suddenly weren’t.

The future that seemed so clear became filled with questions.

As a wife, a mama, and someone trying to build a business while raising two little girls, I won’t pretend those moments haven’t been hard. There have been nights when I lay awake thinking about everything that still needed an answer. Days when I smiled because my girls needed me, while quietly asking God to give me strength for just one more day.

And yet…

In the middle of all the uncertainty, I’ve discovered something beautiful.

God has never once stopped being faithful.

Not for a single day.

When I didn’t know what tomorrow would look like, He still provided what I needed for today.

When I felt weak, He gave me enough strength for the next step.

When I didn’t know where the answer would come from, He reminded me that He has never depended on my understanding to accomplish His plans.

I think sometimes we believe that if life is hard, something must be wrong.

But Scripture tells us something different.

It tells us that storms come.

It tells us that trials will happen.

It tells us that we will face difficulties in this world.

But it also tells us that we never face them alone.

One of the biggest lessons God has been teaching me lately is this:

My peace cannot depend on my circumstances. It has to depend on His character.

Because circumstances change.

People change.

Jobs change.

Finances change.

Health changes.

Plans change.

But God doesn’t.

He is still the same faithful Father today that He was yesterday.

Sometimes we hold so tightly to our own plans that when they fall apart, we think everything is lost.

But maybe…

Maybe what feels like everything falling apart is actually God gently taking apart the things that were never meant to hold us in the first place.

Our security was never supposed to be in money.

Or careers.

Or businesses.

Or perfectly planned futures.

Our security has always been in Christ.

I’ve realized that faith isn’t believing God only when everything is going well.

Faith is choosing to trust Him when nothing around you makes sense.

It’s praying when you don’t yet see the answer.

It’s worshipping while you’re still waiting.

It’s thanking Him before the miracle arrives.

It’s believing that even when your eyes can’t see His hand, your heart can trust His heart.

Maybe you’re in a season like that today.

Maybe you’re carrying burdens that no one else knows about.

Maybe you’re trying your best to hold everything together, but inside you feel like you’re falling apart.

Friend, can I gently remind you of something?

You don’t have to hold everything together.

God is already holding you.

Even when your grip feels weak, His grip on you never is.

He isn’t surprised by your circumstances.

He isn’t overwhelmed by your problems.

He hasn’t forgotten your prayers.

And He certainly hasn’t forgotten you.

If today feels heavy, don’t give up.

Keep praying.

Keep trusting.

Keep taking one faithful step at a time.

One day you’ll look back and see that what felt like everything was falling apart was actually God lovingly putting your life together in a way you never could have imagined.

His plans are always better than ours, even when we can’t understand them yet.

So today, I’m choosing to trust.

Not because I have all the answers.

But because I know the One who does.

If all you can do today is hold on to Jesus, then that’s enough.

And when you feel like you don’t even have the strength to hold on anymore, remember this:

He is holding on to you.

Always.

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear…” – Psalm 46:1–2

The Kind of Friendship Motherhood Taught Me to Value

Motherhood has changed me in more ways than I could ever put into words.

My two little blessings 🥹✨️

Becoming a mother to one child transformed my heart. Becoming a mother of two changed me even more.

My priorities shifted. My schedule changed. My energy changed. Even the way I spend my time looks completely different than it did a few years ago.

These days, my children come first.

Not because I don’t care about my friendships, my hobbies, or the people I love – but because this season of life asks something different from me. It asks me to be present. It asks me to pour into my family. It asks me to slow down and pay attention to the little people who depend on me every single day.

And because of that, I’ve noticed something else: motherhood has changed what I need from friendship, too.

When I was younger, friendship often meant long conversations, constant communication, and always knowing what was happening in each other’s lives.

Now?

Now friendship looks a little different.

It looks like sending a message and getting a response two days later.

It looks like making plans weeks in advance because everyone’s schedule is full.

It looks like checking in with a simple, “Hey, how are you doing? Do you need anything?”

It looks like understanding that silence is not rejection.

It looks like grace.

Most of my friends are mothers, too. Some have two children. Some have three. Some are balancing work, school schedules, sports practices, laundry piles, dinner, bedtime routines, and everything in between.

The truth is, if I judged my friendships by how quickly someone replied to a text message, I probably wouldn’t have any friends left.

Because life is busy.

And motherhood is beautiful, but it is also demanding.

I understand now that taking a day – or even several days – to respond doesn’t mean someone doesn’t care. Sometimes it simply means they are surviving another busy week.

One of the greatest gifts a friend can give a mother is understanding.

Not guilt.

Not pressure.

Not expectations that she remains exactly the same person she was before children.

Because she won’t.

Motherhood changes us.

It softens some parts of us and strengthens others. It teaches us to protect our time more carefully. It teaches us to choose presence over performance.

The friendships that thrive during this season are often the ones that make room for that change.

The ones that don’t require daily conversations to prove love.

The ones that don’t keep score.

The ones that understand that friendship isn’t measured by how often we text, but by how deeply we care.

Some friends are with us for a season.

Some friends stay for a lifetime.

And sometimes friendships naturally evolve as our lives evolve.

There doesn’t have to be anger or resentment attached to that. Sometimes it is simply part of growing.

As mothers, what we need most are friends who can meet us where we are.

Friends who understand when we disappear for a few days.

Friends who don’t need constant explanations.

Friends who can say, “Let’s get the kids together this afternoon,” or “I’m thinking about you,” or “How can I pray for you today?”

Friends who bring peace instead of pressure.

The older I get, the more I realize that true friendship feels light.

Not because it lacks depth, but because it is built on understanding.

It leaves room for busy seasons.

It leaves room for growth.

It leaves room for grace.

And maybe that’s what being present really means.

Not being available every minute of every day.

Not responding instantly.

Not keeping up appearances.

But showing up when it matters.

Checking in.

Remembering one another.

Offering support.

Giving grace.

And choosing love, even when life gets busy.

Because sometimes the most beautiful friendships are the ones that quietly remain – steady, faithful, and understanding – through every season of life.

His Mercies Are New Every Morning

Scripture

“Because of the Lord’s faithful love we do not perish, for His mercies never end. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.”
— Lamentations 3:22-23

There are days in motherhood that feel overwhelmingly heavy.

The laundry seems endless.

The dishes somehow multiply.

The house that you cleaned yesterday already looks messy again.

The meals still need to be planned, prepared, served, and cleaned up afterward.

The children need your attention, your guidance, your affection, and your patience.

And sometimes, if we’re honest, we simply run out.

We become tired. We become overwhelmed. We become stressed.

Then comes the guilt.

The guilt from speaking more sharply than we intended.

The guilt from losing patience.

The guilt from feeling frustrated when our children are simply acting like children.

We know they are little. We know they are learning. We know they are not responsible for the long list of responsibilities weighing on our shoulders.

Yet in our exhaustion, we sometimes respond in ways we wish we hadn’t.

And afterward, our hearts ache.

But this is where the beautiful truth of God’s Word meets us.

The book of Lamentations was not written during a season of comfort or ease. Jeremiah wrote these words in the middle of sorrow, grief, and hardship. Yet in the midst of his suffering, he remembered something greater than his circumstances:

“Because of the Lord’s faithful love we do not perish, for His mercies never end.”

Not His mercies once a year.

Not His mercies when we get everything right.

Not His mercies only on our best days.

His mercies never end.

For the mother carrying guilt today, God’s mercy is available.

For the mother who raised her voice, God’s mercy is available.

For the mother who feels overwhelmed and inadequate, God’s mercy is available.

For the mother who feels like she is failing, God’s mercy is available.

The Lord does not ask us to carry yesterday’s failures into today.

Instead, He reminds us that His mercies are new every morning.

Every sunrise is a reminder of His faithfulness.

Every new day is an opportunity to begin again.

As mothers, we often wish we could have a reset button after a difficult day.

In God’s kindness, He gives us one.

The day eventually comes to an end.

The house grows quiet.

The children sleep.

The night allows our bodies and minds to rest.

And when morning comes, God has already prepared fresh mercy for that day.

Not because we earned it.

But because He is faithful.

Mama, if today was hard, remember this:

You are not defined by your hardest moment.

You are not defined by your worst day.

You are not defined by your lack of patience.

You are defined by the grace of a faithful God whose mercies never run dry.

Tomorrow morning, when the sun rises, His mercy will be waiting for you again.

Prayer

Father,

Thank You for Your never-ending mercy. Thank You that when I feel overwhelmed, exhausted, and discouraged, Your faithfulness remains unchanged.

Forgive me for the moments when I fail to reflect Your patience and gentleness. Help me to extend grace to my children and also to myself, remembering that Your mercies are new every morning.

Teach me to rest in Your love instead of striving for perfection. Remind me that You are present in both the beautiful moments and the difficult ones.

Thank You for being a faithful God who never leaves us and never runs out of mercy.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen.

Reflection

What burden, failure, or guilty feeling do you need to leave at the feet of Jesus today instead of carrying into tomorrow?
