Today was a little bit of a difficult day. My littlest one is sick, and there’s just something so heartbreaking about seeing your baby not feeling well.
They’re so little, and they can’t really tell us what hurts or exactly how they’re feeling yet. So we spend the day watching, checking temperatures, giving medicine when needed, offering extra cuddles, and trying to figure out what might make them feel just a little bit better.
And it can feel like a lot.
Sometimes I wish there could just be a rule that babies and little kids never get sick. Wouldn’t that be wonderful? They’re just so tiny, and I wish I could take every fever, every stuffy nose, every uncomfortable feeling and carry it for them instead.
Thankfully, even though she had a fever and a runny nose today, she still played so much and had such a good day for a sick little baby. She really did so well. 🤍
But as a mama, you still feel it. You just want your babies feeling good, laughing, playing, and being themselves.
So tonight we’re hoping and praying for a peaceful night, lots of rest, and a much better day tomorrow.
