The Kind of Friendships I Pray For

A little reflection on faith, discernment, and the kind of friendships I pray for-relationships filled with grace, understanding, genuine care, and people who bring us closer to the Lord.

Hi friends, good morning. 🤍

As many of you know, I created this little corner of the internet simply to share whenever I feel something placed on my heart. Sometimes that means sharing my thoughts, emotions, motherhood, or something the Lord has been teaching me.

But I also want this space to grow with me.

So, little heads up: you may start seeing a little more variety around here: things I love, products I genuinely use, little tips, motherhood things, home things, and whatever else feels worth sharing. Faith will always be at the heart of this blog, but there is so much more of life that I would love to share with you too.

For today, though, I simply wanted to wish you a beautiful and blessed week and leave you with something that has been on my heart lately.

I’ve been thinking a lot about the people we allow close to us.

One of the things I pray for is friendships that bring me closer to the Lord. Not friendships that simply look Christian from the outside, but friendships where faith is genuinely lived.

I want friends who will pray before a meal with me. Friends who will say, “Please pray for me,” when they’re going through something. Friends who will remind me to trust God when I’m struggling. Friends who will genuinely say, “I’m praying for you,” and actually mean it.

Because following Jesus isn’t just about saying the right things.

It isn’t always hearts and flowers. It isn’t about appearing perfect or appearing godly. Following Jesus requires obedience, humility, forgiveness, self-control, love, and sometimes doing the exact opposite of what our emotions are telling us to do.

And goodness, that can be hard.

Recently I was reading 2 Timothy 3:1-5, and one part especially stayed with me:

“Having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.”

That really made me think about discernment.

Sometimes God allows situations to reveal things we couldn’t see before. Sometimes relationships change. Sometimes people we thought would remain close to us don’t. And sometimes what initially feels like disappointment may actually be God’s protection.

I’m learning to be thankful for that too.

At this season of my life, especially as a mom, I don’t want relationships that feel heavy or complicated. I pray for friendships filled with grace and understanding… friendships where we don’t have to talk every single day to know that we love one another.

I want friendships where months, miles, busy schedules, babies, work, and life don’t erase genuine care.

Where we come back to one another with kindness.

Where we pray for one another.

Where we encourage one another.

Where we make one another’s lives a little lighter instead of heavier.

And above everything else, where we help one another walk closer to Jesus.

I don’t want faith in my life to ever be something I simply display. I want it to shape the way I speak, forgive, love, choose my relationships, raise my children, and live my everyday life.

My prayer continues to be very simple:

Lord, place people in my life who bring me closer to You, and give me the wisdom to recognize the relationships that don’t.

And when God reveals something to us – even when the lesson hurts – I pray that we have enough faith to trust that He sees what we cannot see.

Sometimes being redirected is protection.

Sometimes losing something is actually being spared from something.

And sometimes God clearing space in our lives is simply making room for what He has next. 🤍

With love & grace,

Tay

Forgiveness: Letting Go Without Going Back

A heartfelt reflection on forgiveness, letting go of hurt, setting healthy boundaries, and trusting God throughout the journey.

Hi, friends. Good morning! I hope you’re all doing well.

It’s early.. about 6:30 in the morning.. and I’ve been awake since 4:30. I have so much to get done today: work for my studio, things around the house, responsibilities for my daughters, packing, and what feels like a never-ending list of little tasks.

But we’ll get it all done. This is life, isn’t it? We always seem to be busy. Even when we stay home, there is constantly something (or someone) needing our attention.

Today, though, I want to slow down for a moment and write about something that is a sensitive subject for me. I talk about it openly with close friends, but I feel like it’s time to open my heart and write about it here, too.

I want to talk about forgiveness.

The truth is, I have a difficult time forgiving people. When someone hurts me – or especially when someone hurts somebody I love – I take it very personally. I hold on to what happened, replay it in my mind, and sometimes carry the hurt for much longer than I should.

I hold grudges.

That isn’t something I’m proud of, but it is something I’m aware of, and I have been working on it for a long time. Holding on to hurt gets in my way. It affects my heart, steals my peace, and keeps me emotionally attached to situations I wish I could leave behind.

This morning, I read a short devotional about forgiveness, and it made me think: Why is forgiving so hard for me? Why do some people seem able to forgive so easily while I struggle so much?

I don’t have a simple answer. Maybe it’s because the pain was deep. Maybe it’s because I remember exactly how someone made me feel. Maybe part of me thinks that forgiving means pretending what happened wasn’t wrong.

But I am learning that forgiveness does not mean giving someone another chance to hurt me.

Forgiveness does not mean I have to trust that person again. It does not mean I have to invite them back into my life, restore the same relationship, or pretend that nothing ever happened. Forgiveness does not remove wisdom, boundaries, or consequences.

Sometimes, forgiveness simply means letting go and not looking back.

It means placing the hurt in God’s hands instead of carrying it everywhere I go. It means deciding that what someone did will no longer control my thoughts, my emotions, or my peace.

The other person may never even know that I forgave them. Forgiveness is not always a conversation or a reconciliation. Sometimes it is a quiet decision made between my heart and God.

And forgiveness is not only for the other person. It is also for us.

When we hold on to anger, resentment, and pain, we continue carrying the burden of what happened. The person who hurt us may have already moved on, while we are still living inside that moment. Forgiveness allows us to put that burden down.

The Lord tells us to forgive because He knows what unforgiveness can do to our hearts.

“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”
– Ephesians 4:32

We are all sinners. We make mistakes every day because we are human. We try to follow the Holy Spirit and live in a way that pleases God, but we still fall short. We say the wrong things, make poor decisions, and sometimes have thoughts that do not reflect the heart we want to have.

Still, the Lord continues to forgive us.

He forgives us again and again, and He asks us to extend forgiveness to others. He invites us to lay our burdens at His feet and trust Him with the pain, the injustice, and everything we cannot fix on our own.

That is what I am trying to do.

I am doing much better than I used to, but forgiveness is still a journey for me. Every time I am hurt, I have to work through it again. I have to pray, surrender my feelings to God, and remind myself that forgiving does not make me weak or foolish.

It means I am choosing freedom.

Sometimes forgiveness happens quickly, but sometimes it is a decision we have to make repeatedly. We may forgive someone today and feel the pain returning tomorrow. When that happens, perhaps we simply bring it back to God and say, “Lord, I gave this to You before, and I am giving it to You again.”

It hurts, and it is difficult – but I know I am getting somewhere.

Every time we study forgiveness, pray about it, and intentionally work on our hearts, we are making progress. Every time we choose peace instead of resentment, we are growing. We may not get there overnight, but with God’s help, we will get there.

If you are carrying something that someone did to you – or to someone you love – I want to encourage you to begin letting it go. Forgive them, even if you need to do it one day at a time. Forgive them even if they never apologize. Forgive them while still keeping the boundaries you need.

Do it for your own heart. Do it for your own peace. Most importantly, do it because God has forgiven us and calls us to forgive others.

I believe the Lord sees every sincere effort we make to grow. He knows when forgiveness is difficult for us, and He will patiently help us through every step of the journey.

We are going to make it. We will get there, and the Lord will be beside us every step of the way.

Have a wonderful and blessed weekend, friends.

With love and grace,

Tay

Still Here, Just in a Busy Season

Hi, friends!

I know it has been a little while since I last showed up here. Life has been so, so busy lately. My husband has been traveling for work, which means I have been with the girls 24/7.. and our days have felt very full, very rushed, and sometimes a little chaotic.

By the end of the day, I am usually completely exhausted and ready to fall into bed. But there is still a kitchen to clean, food to prepare, and meal prep to finish for the following day. I prefer doing some of those things after the girls are asleep, especially when I need a little more focus… or simply need both of my hands available!

I do try to prepare some things during the day while the baby is napping. My sweet “big little girl” loves helping me in the kitchen. It is one of the cutest things! Every time we are chopping onions, she starts eating them. Yes, raw onions! I have honestly never seen a child enjoy onions the way she does. She loves them, so I just let her eat them. Why not, right?

These little moments make our busy days so much sweeter.

Still, after doing so much every day, I have found myself feeling completely blank. My creativity seemed to take a deep dive, and I became disappointed and frustrated with myself for not coming here to share my thoughts.

But the truth is, I didn’t have many thoughts to share. Every time I considered writing something for the blog, my mind came up empty.

So today, instead of waiting for the perfect idea or a meaningful lesson, I simply wanted to stop by and say hello.

I’m alive. I’m well. I’m just very, very busy!

Of course, fall allergies have also decided to make an early appearance. The season is not even fully here yet, but my eyes are already terribly itchy, and my nose is constantly running. It is so annoying! Every allergy season becomes its own little journey as I try to figure out which medication will help, especially because I am nursing and need to be careful about what I take.

There is always something, isn’t there?

But we will survive, friends.

I also want to remind myself that this blog was never meant to become another obligation. This is supposed to be my carefree little corner…a place where I can write whenever I feel inspired, share what is on my heart, and simply enjoy writing.

No pressure. No deadlines. No expectations.

I want to keep it that way because writing is something I love, and I never want it to feel like another responsibility on my already-full list.

At the same time, I know some of you come here looking forward to reading something new. That means more to me than you know. I am sorry I have been away for so long, but I want you to know that I am still here, and I am still writing.

I am slowly finding my way back to myself while adjusting to this new, crazy schedule. It may take a little time, but we will make it work. I will be here whenever I can, sharing my thoughts, my experiences, and whatever the Lord places on my heart.

Thank you for continuing to be here with me. I love and appreciate you all so much.

May the Lord bless you, protect you, and watch over you and your families.

Until next time, friends.

With love and many blessings,

Tay

How Do We Want Our Kids to Remember Us?

Hi, friends. 🤍

There is something my husband and I talk about sometimes that always gets me thinking:

How do our kids see us?

Not how we think they see us. Not how we hope we look from the outside.

But when those little eyes are looking at us every day… what do they see?

And maybe an even bigger question:

How will they remember us one day?

Will they remember us as the parents who played with them? Who were silly with them? Who sat on the floor and played pretend? Who listened to their endless stories and answered their one million questions?

Or will they remember us as always being busy?

Always working.

Always cleaning.

Always doing something.

Always looking at our phones.

Always saying, “Just a minute,” “Not right now,” or “Mommy is busy.”

That thought gets to me.

Because finding balance is hard. So, so hard.

There are responsibilities that don’t disappear just because we have children. There is work to do, food to make, laundry to wash, bills to pay, houses to clean, appointments to remember, messages to answer… life keeps moving.

But right in the middle of all of that, there is this little person asking:

“Mommy, why is blue blue?”

“Why is purple purple?”

“Why can’t I touch that?”

“Can I really not touch it?”

Let me touch it really quickly just to make sure. 😂

And sometimes it isn’t even about the question.

They just want us.

They want our attention. They want us to look at what they’re looking at. They want to tell us what they’re thinking. They want to show us something they discovered for the very first time – even if we’ve seen it a thousand times.

Because to them, the world is still so new.

And there is something incredibly beautiful about being the person they want to share it with.

Time, Please Slow Down

I get emotional thinking about how quickly these years are passing.

It feels like I just had my little baby girl, and somehow she’s already getting close to turning three.

Three?!

Come on, time. Slow down a little bit.

I want to stay here just a little longer.

I want to remember the tiny voice. The little hands. The silly questions. The toys everywhere. The pretend games. The way they call for Mommy. The way something so simple can make them unbelievably excited.

Because this version of them won’t be here forever.

And this version of me won’t be here forever either.

We are growing alongside them.

The Childhood I Remember

Sometimes I think about my own childhood.

Cell phones weren’t really part of our lives. There was no Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, endless scrolling, Reels, or notifications constantly asking for our attention.

I remember going places with my parents. I remember being home and playing in the backyard. I remember playing with plants and random things around the house.

My parents could give me some papers and suddenly I had an entire office. 😂

I played office. I played doctor’s office. I played pretend. I had this huge imagination.

I played by myself plenty, but I also remember playing with my mom and dad.

And when I look back, I have so many good memories of my childhood.

That’s what I want for my girls.

I don’t need their childhood to be perfect. I don’t think any childhood can be.

But I want it to feel full.

Full of love.

Full of laughter.

Full of imagination.

Full of family.

Full of moments when Mommy and Daddy stopped whatever they were doing and entered their little world for a while.

I Want Them to Remember a Mama Who Was There

One day, when my girls are grown, I hope they remember me as a mama who did everything she could for them.

A mama who fought for them.

A mama who worked for them.

A mama who served them.

A mama who made their food and cared for their home.

A mama who kissed their little boo-boos.

A mama who listened to their stories – even the really, really, really long ones. 😂

A mama who played pretend.

A mama who laughed with them.

A mama who prayed with them.

A mama who taught them about Jesus.

A mama who loved them fiercely and, most importantly, made sure they knew it.

I want to be a really, really good mama.

Not a perfect one.

A present one.

And I know I won’t get every day right. There will be days when I’m tired. Days when work needs more of me. Days when I’m overwhelmed. Days when I probably spend too much time looking at a screen or worrying about something that feels urgent.

But maybe being intentional doesn’t mean doing everything perfectly.

Maybe it means remembering, over and over again, what matters most.

Putting the phone down.

Sitting on the floor.

Listening to the question.

Playing the game.

Giving the hug.

Saying “I love you” one more time.

Praying together.

Because someday, the toys won’t be on the floor anymore.

They won’t ask us to play pretend.

They won’t need our help getting dressed.

They won’t ask why? fifty-seven times before breakfast.

And I have a feeling we might miss even the things that exhaust us today.

Our Greatest Gifts

Our children are among the greatest gifts God has entrusted to us.

And what a privilege it is to raise them.

To love them.

To guide them.

To teach them to follow Jesus.

To pray over them and with them.

To watch their personalities grow and their little minds discover the world.

So maybe today, we can ask ourselves:

When our children look back at these years, what do we hope they remember?

I hope mine remember the love.

I hope they remember the laughter.

I hope they remember Mommy and Daddy playing with them.

I hope they remember feeling safe.

I hope they remember prayers before bed and conversations about Jesus.

I hope they remember that even when life was busy, they were never too small to matter and never too unimportant for us to stop and see them.

Most of all, I hope they remember knowing – without ever having to question it…

Mommy and Daddy loved us so, so much.

So let’s enjoy them, friends.

Let’s soak in these ordinary days that one day won’t feel ordinary at all.

Let’s put down the phone sometimes.

Let’s play pretend.

Let’s answer the millionth question.

Let’s tell them we love them again and again.

And let’s ask God to help us raise these little blessings in a way that, many years from now, when they close their eyes and think about home, they remember a childhood filled with love, faith, laughter, and the beautiful feeling of knowing:

I was loved. I was seen. I belonged. 🤍

Sometimes, They Just Want Us to See Them 🤍

Hi, friends!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. 🤍

Today, I just wanted to write a simple little post about something that crossed my mind while I was watching my husband play with our girls.

I was watching them together – playing, laughing, being silly… and I found myself thinking about how special it is when we actually stop what we’re doing and just be with our children.

Not doing something for them.
Not cleaning around them.
Not getting dinner ready while they play nearby.

But actually getting down on the floor and playing with them.

And then I started thinking…

How will our children remember us when they grow up?

Will they remember Mom and Dad as the ones who played pretend with them? Who played hide-and-seek and catch? Who sat on the floor and played with stuffed animals, baby dolls, and all the little toys scattered everywhere?

Will they remember us being silly with them, laughing with them, and entering their tiny little worlds?

Or will they remember us always being busy?

Because the truth is, there is always something else to do.

There is always laundry.

There are always dishes.

There is always work.

There is always something to clean, something to organize, an email to answer, a message to respond to, or another thing waiting on our to-do list.

But sometimes, our children don’t need anything from us except our attention.

They just want us to see them.

My daughter will sometimes come up to me and say, “Hey, Mom!” and then start telling me something in her sweet little toddler gibberish. 😂 And sometimes there isn’t even really anything she needs to tell me.

She just wants me to look.

She wants me to see that she’s feeding her baby doll.

She wants me to see what she’s doing with one of her little stuffed animals.

She wants me to watch her playing with her little sister or with our dog.

Sometimes that’s it.

“Mommy, look at me.”

And when I really think about that, it makes my heart so emotional.

Because one day, she won’t call me over every few minutes to show me the tiniest little thing.

One day, I won’t have baby dolls and stuffed animals all over my house.

One day, there won’t be tiny feet running through the rooms or little voices calling, “Mom!”

And I know there will be beautiful things about those seasons too. Watching our children grow is a blessing of its own.

But this season?

This one is so precious.

Our children are one of the greatest gifts God could ever entrust to us.

“Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him.” – Psalm 127:3

And sometimes I think we get so caught up trying to take care of everything that comes with raising a family that we forget to stop and simply enjoy the family God gave us.

So this is my little reminder for myself today, and maybe for another mama who needs it too:

Soak it in.

Put the phone down for a little while.

Sit on the floor.

Play with the baby doll.

Pretend the stuffed puppy is talking.

Play hide-and-seek for the hundredth time.

Listen to the story that doesn’t make any sense.

Look when they say, “Mommy, look!”

Laugh with them.

Hug them.

Be silly.

Let them see your eyes light up when they walk into the room.

The laundry can wait sometimes.

The dishes can wait sometimes.

The emails can definitely wait sometimes.

Because everything else will still be there later.

But the time we have with our children while they’re little?

That part doesn’t wait.

It goes by so incredibly fast.

Take care of your babies. Take care of yourself. And whenever you can, stop for a moment and enjoy the beautiful little life happening right in front of you.

These ordinary little moments might just become some of their favorite childhood memories someday.

And maybe some of ours, too. 🤍

Have a beautiful and blessed week, friends.

With love & grace,

Tay 🤍

The Two-Minute Rule That Has Been Changing My Days

Hello, friends.

Lately, I’ve been trying something very simple around the house, and to my surprise, it has made a big difference in my daily routine.

I created a little rule for myself:

If it takes less than two minutes, do it now.

Instead of telling myself, “I’ll do it later,” I simply stop for those few seconds and get it done.

Putting the cup in the dishwasher.
Folding the blanket.
Hanging the towel.
Throwing away the piece of trash on the counter.
Putting the shoes back where they belong.

None of these things take long. But when we leave them for later, they quietly pile up. Before we know it, those tiny tasks become a mountain that feels overwhelming.

As moms, we already carry so much in our minds. We are remembering snack times, nap schedules, doctor’s appointments, laundry, groceries, meals, bedtime routines… and somewhere in the middle of all of that, we often tell ourselves we’ll get to the little things later.

The problem is that “later” doesn’t always come.

I’ve noticed that when I follow this simple rule, my home feels calmer. I don’t spend as much time cleaning because I’m constantly doing little resets throughout the day. It also helps me mentally because I’m not carrying around a growing list of things I still need to do.

Of course, there are moments when the girls need me more than the dishes do. There are days when nursing my baby or sitting down to read a book with my toddler is far more important than putting away a blanket. And that’s okay.

This isn’t about having a perfect home.

It’s about making life just a little easier.

I’ve also realized that these little acts remind me of something bigger. In Luke 16:10, Jesus says:

“Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much.”

Sometimes faithfulness looks ordinary. It looks like caring for the home God has given us, serving our families with joy, and being intentional with the small responsibilities in front of us.

Little habits, practiced consistently, become a beautiful way of serving the people we love.

So today, if you see something that will only take a minute or two…

Do it now.

Your future self will thank you.

With love & grace,

Tay

Be Still… God Is Already There

Good morning, friends.

It’s 6:49 a.m., and the house is still quiet.

I woke up early this morning, got a little work done, and then opened my Bible to spend some time with the Lord. Before long, my little one woke up. I picked her up, nursed her, and continued reading my Bible with her resting peacefully in my arms.

There was something so special about that moment.

As I held her close, I couldn’t help but think about how our children truly are one of God’s greatest gifts. There I was, reading His Word while holding one of the precious lives He entrusted to me. It was such a simple moment, yet one I know I’ll remember for a long time.

Motherhood has taught me to treasure these little moments.

It has also taught me humility.

Sometimes I get overwhelmed. Sometimes I become impatient. Sometimes stress wins for a moment, and afterward I wish I had responded differently.

I always feel bad when that happens because my children deserve the very best version of me.

But the truth is… none of us can be our best version every single day.

Whether you’re a mom, a dad, or simply someone trying to navigate life, there will be days when you’re tired, when your emotions are messy, and when your patience feels thin.

That doesn’t make you a failure.

It makes you human.

Yesterday I had my therapy session, and for the first time in a while, I felt like I poured everything out. All the messy thoughts. All the uncertainty. All the questions I’ve been carrying.

Lately, my professional life has felt like it’s been shaken upside down.

You know how a towel spreads water across every corner once it touches a puddle?

That’s what unresolved problems can feel like.

One difficult area of life has a way of spilling into every other area. Before you realize it, your thoughts become heavier, your emotions become more fragile, and even simple tasks begin to feel overwhelming.

That’s where I’ve been lately.

But today…

Today feels different.

Not because every problem has disappeared.

Not because I suddenly have all the answers.

But because the Lord reminded me this morning exactly where my foundation is.

He is my fortress.

He is my strength.

He is my peace.

And when my life feels like it’s in pieces, He remains completely unchanged.

Sometimes I think God lovingly allows our lives to be shaken because we’ve become a little too comfortable. We settle into routines, into plans we’ve created for ourselves, and then something unexpected happens.

Everything shifts.

At first, it feels frightening.

But maybe… just maybe… the shaking isn’t meant to destroy us.

Maybe it’s meant to loosen our grip on the things we’ve been holding too tightly so we can hold on to Him instead.

I truly believe that’s what He’s been teaching me.

His timing is perfect.

Always.

Even when I don’t understand it.

Even when I wish things looked different.

Even when the future feels uncertain.

Looking back, I can see His faithfulness through every season of my life, and I have no reason to believe He’ll stop being faithful now.

Today’s Bible reading was exactly what my heart needed.

Psalm 46:10
“Be still, and know that I am God.”

Psalm 27

Matthew 11:28–30
“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

Proverbs 3:5–6
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths.”

Those verses reminded me that my job isn’t to carry every burden.

My job is simply to do my part faithfully.

To wake up.

To love my family.

To work with integrity.

To keep moving forward.

And then leave the heavy things in God’s hands.

That’s the kind of life I hope my children remember.

I hope they remember a mom who trusted Jesus.

Not because life was always easy.

But because He was always faithful.

I hope they see that when life became too heavy, I didn’t pretend I was strong enough to carry it all alone.

I gave it to the One who could.

Friends, if you’re walking through your own “shake-shake” season right now, I want to encourage you today.

Keep going.

Keep praying.

Keep trusting.

Do what you can today, and leave tomorrow in God’s hands.

He has never stopped being faithful, and He won’t start now.

Thank you for sitting with me this morning.

Thank you for reading these little pieces of my heart.

This blog has become a place where I simply share what the Lord is teaching me, what motherhood is teaching me, and what life is teaching me along the way.

I’m so grateful you’re here.

I hope you’ll come back again soon.

With love,

Tayza

My Morning with the Lord

Good morning, friends.

This morning, I was awake at 5:00 a.m. with my baby. I fed her, put her back in her crib so she could go back to sleep, and then I turned on the lights in my room. It was time to wake up, open my Bible, and begin my day with the Lord.

The house was still completely quiet.

It was just me and the Lord.

Lately, I’ve been walking through a season of so much uncertainty, especially professionally. There are so many questions that I don’t have answers to yet. So many things that are simply out of my control. But one thing I know without a doubt is that the Lord is with me. He is guiding me, giving me peace, and I know that His plans are far greater than anything I could ever imagine for myself.

This morning, I spent time reading these passages:

– Psalm 23
– Matthew 6:25-34
– Romans 8:31-39
– Isaiah 41:10
– Lamentations 3:22-23

I encourage you to read them slowly. Don’t rush through them. Let every verse settle into your heart.

As I read, I realized something. Sometimes the Lord allows us to walk through seasons of uncertainty because they bring us closer to Him. When everything else feels unstable, we discover that He is the only foundation that never moves.

Right now, I feel like I’m in one of those seasons.

There are moments when I feel a little lost. There are so many responsibilities, so many decisions to make, and two little girls who depend on me every single day. Yet in the middle of all of it, I have found the greatest comfort.

The Lord.

And when I say that He is all I have, I don’t mean that as if it were a small thing. Quite the opposite.

I have the Lord.

What else do I truly need?

Today, Psalm 23 spoke to my heart in a completely different way.

“The Lord is my Shepherd.”

A shepherd guides, protects, provides, and never abandons his sheep. Sheep don’t know the entire path ahead. They simply stay close to their shepherd, trusting that he knows where he is leading them.

I realized that this is exactly where I am.

I’m simply one of His sheep.

I don’t have to know every answer today.

I don’t have to see the entire road ahead.

I only need to keep following Him.

So that is what I’m choosing to do.

I’ll keep taking my little baby steps. I’ll continue doing the next right thing in front of me. I’ll continue trusting that the Lord is already preparing the path ahead, even when I can’t see it.

I believe with all my heart that everything will work out exactly as He intends. Everything will fall into place in His perfect timing.

I wanted to share this morning with you because maybe someone reading this also feels uncertain. Maybe you’re carrying burdens that nobody else sees. Maybe you’re wondering what comes next.

If that’s you, I hope you’ll take a few moments today to read the same passages I read this morning.

Let the Lord remind you that He is your Shepherd.

He is taking care of you.

He knows where you are.

He hasn’t forgotten you.

He isn’t surprised by your circumstances.

He is walking beside you every step of the way.

Coloring is a relaxing activity (I wanted to make this one very green hahaha)

Today, I’m starting my day with peace. Before the rest of the house wakes up, I’m going to spend a little time coloring and simply enjoying this quiet morning that the Lord has given me.

I’m praying that these verses bless your heart as much as they blessed mine.

May the Lord bless you, protect you, guide your steps, and fill your heart with His perfect peace.

Rest assured…

When It Rains, It Pours

Hi friends,

I hope you’re all doing well.

Life has been incredibly busy lately. To be honest, it feels like one thing after another. You know that saying, “When it rains, it pours?” That’s exactly how this season has felt.

One problem shows up, and before I even have time to process it, another one appears. Things that were never problems suddenly become problems. Unexpected situations come out of nowhere. Plans change. New challenges arise. And sometimes it feels like I’m trying so hard just to keep my head above water.

It’s exhausting.

There are moments when I wonder how much more one heart can carry before it simply gives up. If I relied only on my own strength, I think I would completely fall apart. The stress would consume me. The fear would take over. My mind would race through every possible outcome until I couldn’t think clearly anymore.

But that’s exactly why I keep coming back to the feet of Jesus.

Every single day, I remind myself that the Lord already knows every detail of my story. Nothing surprises Him. Nothing catches Him off guard. The problems that seem impossible to me are not impossible for Him.

I don’t know what tomorrow looks like.

I don’t know how every situation will work itself out.

But I do know Who walks with me through it all.

Sometimes I believe God allows us to walk through difficult seasons because He is preparing us for something better than we can see right now. Not because He enjoys seeing us struggle, but because He is shaping us, teaching us to trust Him more deeply, and leading us somewhere we could never reach on our own.

So I’m choosing not to stay stuck.

I’m choosing to keep moving forward, even if the steps are small.

I’m choosing to keep working, praying, trusting, and believing that God is opening doors I cannot yet see.

Some days, faith doesn’t look like having all the answers. Sometimes faith simply looks like getting out of bed, doing the next right thing, and believing that God is still writing the story.

If you’re in a season where it feels like everything is happening at once, I want to encourage you today: don’t let go of the Lord.

Hold on to Him.

Cry if you need to.

Pray even when you don’t have the words.

Rest in His promises.

He has never abandoned His children, and He won’t start now.

One day we’ll look back on these difficult chapters and see God’s fingerprints all over them. We may not understand everything today, but one day we will see how He was protecting us, guiding us, and preparing something greater than we could imagine.

Until then, I’ll keep taking one step at a time.

And I’ll keep trusting the One who already knows the ending.

«”God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear…” – Psalm 46:1-2»

When You Don’t Know What’s Next, Kneel First

Hi friends,

Good morning. 🤍

Today I’m writing straight from the bottom of my heart. I just wanted to share something that happened this morning and hopefully encourage someone who might need these words as much as I do.

As many of you know, I’m walking through a very difficult season right now. There are so many things that I don’t have answers for. If I’m being completely honest, I have no idea what my next step is. I don’t know how everything will work out.

But I do know this: God is still on His throne.

This morning, I got down on my knees and prayed. I asked the Lord to give me strength, wisdom, and peace. I prayed that He would not allow this difficult season to weaken my faith. I asked Him not to give the enemy any room in my mind. We all know that our weakest moments are often when the enemy tries hardest to fill our hearts with fear, doubt, anxiety, and discouragement.

But the Lord is my shield.

He is my Rock.

He is my refuge.

And I refuse to let fear have the final word.

As I prayed, something beautiful happened. Instead of focusing on everything I was losing or everything I couldn’t control, God gently reminded me of everything I already have.

I have a loving husband who supports me through every season.

I have my two beautiful little girls, who give my life so much purpose and joy.

I have my sweet dog.

I have my parents.

I have my husband’s parents.

I have incredible friends that God has so lovingly placed in my life.

And as I started thanking Him for each one of those blessings, I couldn’t stop the tears.

Not tears of sadness this time, but tears of gratitude.

God has surrounded me with people who love me. They are my “why.” They are the reason I get out of bed every morning. They are why I cook, why I clean, why I work, why I keep moving forward even on the days when I don’t feel like I can.

And if I had to do it all over again, I would.

Every single time.

So today, if you’re walking through a difficult season too, I want to encourage you.

Don’t let the enemy weaken your faith.

Lay every burden at the feet of Jesus.

Keep praying.

Keep trusting.

Keep moving forward, even if it’s only one small step at a time.

Don’t stop.

Sometimes life becomes so overwhelming that we forget God already knows the ending of our story. Nothing surprises Him. Nothing catches Him off guard. He knows exactly where you are, exactly what you’re feeling, and exactly what He’s doing – even when you can’t see it.

His plans are always better than ours.

His timing is always perfect.

And His love for us never changes.

Today I’m not only writing these words for you.

I’m writing them for myself too.

Sometimes we all need to remind our own hearts of what we already know to be true.

So today, choose trust over fear.

Choose gratitude over despair.

Choose faith over doubt.

God has never failed you before, and He won’t start now.

Thank you for taking a few minutes to read my thoughts today. It means more than you know. Every time you stop by, read a post, leave a kind word, or simply spend a few moments here with me, I’m reminded that writing has a purpose beyond myself.

If God can use these simple words to bring even a little hope, encouragement, or His love into someone’s day, then every post is worth writing.

Thank you for being here.

I hope you have a beautiful day, and may God bless you abundantly.

With love & grace,

Tay

Until next time, may you find joy in the little blessings, strength in every season, and peace in the One who holds it all. 🤍
