When You Don’t Know What’s Next, Kneel First

Hi friends,

Good morning. 🤍

Today I’m writing straight from the bottom of my heart. I just wanted to share something that happened this morning and hopefully encourage someone who might need these words as much as I do.

As many of you know, I’m walking through a very difficult season right now. There are so many things that I don’t have answers for. If I’m being completely honest, I have no idea what my next step is. I don’t know how everything will work out.

But I do know this: God is still on His throne.

This morning, I got down on my knees and prayed. I asked the Lord to give me strength, wisdom, and peace. I prayed that He would not allow this difficult season to weaken my faith. I asked Him not to give the enemy any room in my mind. We all know that our weakest moments are often when the enemy tries hardest to fill our hearts with fear, doubt, anxiety, and discouragement.

But the Lord is my shield.

He is my Rock.

He is my refuge.

And I refuse to let fear have the final word.

As I prayed, something beautiful happened. Instead of focusing on everything I was losing or everything I couldn’t control, God gently reminded me of everything I already have.

I have a loving husband who supports me through every season.

I have my two beautiful little girls, who give my life so much purpose and joy.

I have my sweet dog.

I have my parents.

I have my husband’s parents.

I have incredible friends that God has so lovingly placed in my life.

And as I started thanking Him for each one of those blessings, I couldn’t stop the tears.

Not tears of sadness this time, but tears of gratitude.

God has surrounded me with people who love me. They are my “why.” They are the reason I get out of bed every morning. They are why I cook, why I clean, why I work, why I keep moving forward even on the days when I don’t feel like I can.

And if I had to do it all over again, I would.

Every single time.

So today, if you’re walking through a difficult season too, I want to encourage you.

Don’t let the enemy weaken your faith.

Lay every burden at the feet of Jesus.

Keep praying.

Keep trusting.

Keep moving forward, even if it’s only one small step at a time.

Don’t stop.

Sometimes life becomes so overwhelming that we forget God already knows the ending of our story. Nothing surprises Him. Nothing catches Him off guard. He knows exactly where you are, exactly what you’re feeling, and exactly what He’s doing – even when you can’t see it.

His plans are always better than ours.

His timing is always perfect.

And His love for us never changes.

Today I’m not only writing these words for you.

I’m writing them for myself too.

Sometimes we all need to remind our own hearts of what we already know to be true.

So today, choose trust over fear.

Choose gratitude over despair.

Choose faith over doubt.

God has never failed you before, and He won’t start now.

Thank you for taking a few minutes to read my thoughts today. It means more than you know. Every time you stop by, read a post, leave a kind word, or simply spend a few moments here with me, I’m reminded that writing has a purpose beyond myself.

If God can use these simple words to bring even a little hope, encouragement, or His love into someone’s day, then every post is worth writing.

Thank you for being here.

I hope you have a beautiful day, and may God bless you abundantly.

With love & grace,

Tay

Until next time, may you find joy in the little blessings, strength in every season, and peace in the One who holds it all. 🤍
