A Dream For Another Season

If you could start a new business right now, what would it be?

If I could open a new business, I think I would build the photography studio I’ve always dreamed of.

Not just a room with a backdrop and a camera, but a truly beautiful space designed around the entire experience. A studio that feels warm, elegant, peaceful, and intentional from the moment a family walks through the door.

I would love for it to be focused on luxury portraiture – beautiful maternity sessions, newborn portraits, motherhood, families, and all of those little seasons we wish we could somehow keep forever. I imagine gorgeous sets, timeless details, beautiful wardrobe options, comfortable spaces for families, and everything thoughtfully organized so the experience feels special from beginning to end.

The funny thing is, I technically could create something like that. I even have access to a space. But this season of my life has taught me that having the opportunity to do something doesn’t always mean it’s the right time to do it.

A studio requires presence. It needs someone who can truly be there, build it, manage it, photograph consistently, and give it the attention it deserves. And right now, I know I simply don’t have the time for that.

Maybe one day.

For now, I’m okay with letting that dream sit quietly in the “someday” folder.

Because sometimes a dream doesn’t disappear just because you’re not pursuing it right now. Sometimes it’s simply waiting for a different season.

And I think there’s something beautiful about that too.

With love & grace,

Tay
